Alkmaar, a destination for everyone to go to! Cheeselovers, mainstream lovers and Uniquepas!

I have come to this place for more than 14 years and I am just overwhelmed, every year again. Never before, people have been so friendly, welcoming and open as this year!
After a half-an hour ride on our tandem, we entered the little shopping paradise. Of course, my forst implied destination was NR9, where I have never been disappointed with the superb collection of clothes and the friendliness of the service. For fairly low prices you can mainly find Scandinavian brands such as Cheep Monday, or the Dutch brand 'Ruf m.fl.- Swedich design'. While having an espresso I was making myself comfortable, instinctively going thourgh the rather casual clothing collections, but then actually found my absolute favourite: a blue, white, fluffy skirt, just made for my style. Anyway, pictures tell moran a thhousand words; I I will just leave you to them and the few comments along with them.

Just another impression of how my hair looked the other day...

The cutest shop ever! Even I have never bought anything here, the flair inside is just unique!

The kindest service and loveliest atmosphere! Unfortunately there is not a picture of me wearing the skirt I bought just yet... this weather does not yet allow me to put my summer clothes on... :(

Lunch in 'De Buren'. My friend and me would have loved to order more of those soups! They were superb! My choice was the Onion soup, my friend had the fish soup which was slightly spicy, but her face looked most satisfied! Only 6 euros for such a delicate taste?! nothing we said afterwards!

As always, Zara had the most variety rich collection of clothes.
I don't think, any trend is possible to find... or maybe one of the many trends is colourful, choosing what you feel like. Anyway, I was amazed and could not stop taking pictures!

Not only the clothes looked rather wearable, people I saw where dressed in a mix of hipster and chic. Thank you, Lenneke de Nijs! You are the first 'foreign' one on Uniquepa!
The shoes can be found anywhere, even it is not quite my style, I bet they are going to come to Germany and the UK very soon!

Trying on some clothes.... nothing was perfect enough to spend money upon, but definitely worth having look!

Boyfriend style...

Sailor style inspired by Coco Chanel

Another pretty cool and colourful shop, sticking to Indian classics is 'Mirazo Ibiza' on the Mient. Service was nice, pretty and jewellery as well as clothes looked more than wearable and most comfy!

Some things you will always find in Dutch cities...

a little bit of art...

scarves, scarves, scarves (very suitable for the weather)...

cards which just look like you want to receive them...

A little coffee break was held at 'Anna&Max'

If I was able to allow me a piece of cake... I wouldnt have been able to choose from the most delicious looking cakes!!!

This is not a blog for men, but his style looked... posh? stylish? perfect? I dont quite know how to express myself anymore, but my favourite of the composition was definitely the sakko which was by Umit Bernan

So happy to be home after such a long day!

Dinner was held at the traditional fish imbiss in Egmond Aan Zee. This salmon gave the rest to my feeling of satisfaction!
